Update to Latest version

Every new release is excited for developer and users, isn’t it? And everyone wants to get it as soon as possible. Thanks FileMaker Inc. for it’s effort to make it more simpler and simpler. With it’s latest FileMaker 17 release, they also released FM Data Migration Tool, which boost update process to unbelievable short time to perform. We are so excited about it and also want that our every customer could benefit of it…

So we created a Benroy Business App Data Migration Tool. Which will let you easily update from previous version to latest version.

Here is step-by-step instructions how to update Benroy from previous version:

1. Download latest version from your account by logging in to our web site.
2. Download Benroy Data Migration Tool by filling up this form.
3. Open “Benroy Data Migration Tool.fmp12” and follow on screen instructions.
   1. Define path to Migration Tool which have to be downloaded from FileMaker Community. You have to have FileMaker Developer Subscription to get license to use it.
   2. Define path to previous (old) version of Benroy Business App.
   3. Define path to latest version of Benroy Business App. The file has to be cloned and can not be opened after clone to proceed.
   4. Define path to output the migrated file.
   5. Press “Run Migration” button to run the migration.
4. That’s it! Find your latest version with your data in defined output location.

IMPORTANT! This update can run only using FileMaker 17 and both Source file and Clone file have to have [Full Access] privileges.

Also, if you did any changes as developer on the file, and you will do migration to the newest version, you will loose your changes. Please do the changes to the new file first and then perform a data migration.
